Happy summer from Fire Starter Coffee! Here are some of our current happenings, future plans, and deals you can take advantage of.
It's the season for cold brew, and we've been brewing a ton of it for the farmers market and for us to drink at home. If you want to make it at home: get some Fire Starter, grind it coarse, fill up a cold brew filter (they're cheap on Amazon), and let it steep overnight or for 24 hours in a cup or mason jar. I use a 1g coffee to 12mL water ratio for a smooth, ready-to-drink cup in the morning. Adjust to your liking.
We kicked off the season by joining the Saturday morning farmer's market in Alton, Illinois, and it has kept us BUSY. We are currently serving cold brew and bags of fresh roasted coffee beans. It has turned out to be a great experience, meeting everyone and getting the chance to grow our business. We'll continue to be there every Saturday until mid-October. Hope to see you there!
We continue to roast fresh batches of coffee every week, so you never have to worry about stale, flavorless coffee. Requests are welcome. We also have a bunch of recently added merch: 2 different hats, a mug, a t-shirt, and a sweatshirt.
Our NEXT coffee product is going to be a barrel aged coffee bean, aged in used bourbon whiskey barrels. This is still in the works, but it should be here just in time for fall.
