I liked knowing that the roasting is happening from a small business and all of the factors associated with it. But the roast seems a little too dark for medium roast. I do prefer a lighter roast but the beans tasted more bitter than I expected.
I found Firestarter at the Alton Farmers Market. Juice is my first try and man gotta say, makes an exceptional Espresso, a really solid pour over, and stoked to try as Cold Brew. The crema on the espresso is really top notch. The light acidity and the juicy flavor notes elivate this bean. Subtle chocolate undernotes that add robustness without overbearing the juicyness. 10/10 will be buying more.
